The NFL Is Tax-Exempt?

The NFL hasn't paid taxes since the 1940's because they were tax-exempt. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell makes about $40 Million a year and congress constantly challenges his right to be tax-exempt. Roger Goodell calling this a "distraction" has decided to voluntarily wave the NFL's tax-exempt status. The NFL makes about $10 Billion a year the government can stand to make around $90 Million a year in taxes. The NBA pays taxes, MLB started paying taxes in 2007, and the NHL is tax-exempt.
